FRONTLINE S.M.E.A.C.

In the war on spiritual apathy there is only one rule for me... everyone fights, no one quits. if you quit your dead. and if you die there are only 1 of 2 ways you will go! i fight for the Kingdoms sake, a weapon in the kings arsenal. i am the Soldier of Truth.

first day back.

well today i start back at RMIT in the pursuit of a piece of paper. to get this piece of paper i have to go through a class called "modern Australian society".

this class will look at the many facets that make up our society and see if any of them are worth a damn or if they are all bedtime stories that will help us sleep at night as ignorant people.

i was reflecting on the story of Adolf Eichmann and believe that, in the same way he did, many Australians turn off their thought process to just follow the crowd.

what is our society like?
what changes should we make?
how would Jesus view Christians in the present Australian context?
what can we, individually and corporately, do to change this?

i love challenge. what i don't like is flowery woose lectures that mean nothing in the end.

this subject though reminds me of a first year subject i did called the social history of ideas.

    should be fun

They are some pretty big questions you ask! How would Jesus view us?...that's a particulary juicy one. I'd say that He'd be rather dissapointed...I'm not sure that in this country we (Christians) are fully experiencing the cost of following a radical leader. It's so easy to live a comfortable life and I reckon we need more challenge in terms of our values, the way we treat the environment, our excessive consumption, the health of our relationships...the list could go on.
